Some people are starting to say that Obama is a Manchurian Candidate.
Maybe..., but I see it differently: I see a character flaw.
How come a guy with such an under-privileged upbringing comes across as an elitist ?
You look at him and you only see Harvard, not a guy brought up by his grandparents because his father disappeared and his Mum was a hippie that had a taste for radically unconventional relationships and died young.

How come this amazing turn-around?
To be honest, can you imagine yourself in a room with those hawks, everyday? Not easy...
It's a combination of Ivory-tower syndrome and Zelig.
The fact that he has been labelled a socialist from the beginning probably has made a dent on him.
He was expected to be a softy on security issues, a pacifist, a naif liberal unable to make the tough decisions that the office required.
And he wanted to show them that he wasn't, that the tough guys could trust him. He would prove them wrong.
How? not going after a conventional war. He is too smart for that. And they don't work !!!
That's for moronic red necks like Bush Jr.
But in exchange he will give them free reign on everything else !!!!
That's how tough intellectuals do it, that's how you can be patriotic, and cool, at the same time.
He would even be praised by Dick Cheney: Isn't that proof enough that I have what it takes !?
It's the Obama-balance of pragmatism and idealism, or so he believes.
That's my middle path yo !!!!
Not because he doesn't have the balls to stand up to them, but because unconsciously he always wanted to please his critics.
